I’m really not fond of eating Japanese foods. For one, my palates do not favor raw foods. So there’s just a few Japanese food types that I eat such as the basic Teriyaki, Tonkatsu and California Maki.

Speaking of California Maki, SM and Tokyo Tokyo have this special treat for SM Advantage and BDO Cardholders out there. I actually forgot from which Facebook fan page I snagged this promo alert. But at any rate, if you are up to some end of summer shopping, go to Rockwell Tent on June 5 and 6 for this year’s Summer Solstice: End of Summer Bazaar. There will be lots of commercial establishments participating including Grendha, my favorite footwear brand at the moment.

Their invitation says: “Come early and get first dibs on pretty florals, tribal prints, fancy accessories, sneaks and stilettos, and designer handbags from our partner brands. With over 100 brands in the Tent, we’re sure you’ll find something to bring home!” Well, I’m pretty sure that their barcode scanner equipment will be fine tuned and ready for yet another manic shopping wave from bazaar lovers and shopaholics out there.

And oh, I heard that they will be giving away goodie bags from their sponsors which will include gift certificates to Red Mango, Strip: The Ministry of Waxing, and Ipanema, among others.

If you have been a Globe postpaid plan subscriber for more than two years now or if the lockup period has already lapsed, chances are you have some loyalty rewards and freebies that you can take advantage of. Big thanks to a former colleague from Globe, I was able to have my now 6 year old account checked at this moment.

These are the things I am entitled to claim under their Loyalty Rewards program.

Honestly, I’m still undecided which to choose. I’ve been wanting so badly to have an iPhone. But even the discounted price of Php 29,060 is kinda too much for my wallet to bear. If we’re not just acquiring a house and we do not have so much expenses now, I could have easily went with that. :Sigh:

The bill rebate’s also interesting. We already have a DVD Player so most likely I’ll go for the Turbo Broiler which costs Php 3,448 in Abenson or the bill rebate for 2 years.

Not bad. After all, the best things in life are free.

The Prize and Baby Company’s Baby Fair.

We finally were able to claim the little one’s prize of Php 500 Baby Company gift card from Manila Bulletin last Saturday. This is his prize for being chosen as the winner among the featured babies in their March 7’s issue of Kiddie Greets or those celebrating their birthdays for that week. Last year, he also won the same prize for his first birthday and since the gift card doesn’t expire and is still unused until now, we now have a total of Php 1000 worth of gift cards to spend on Baby Company products soon. It’s very timely because they have an ongoing Baby Fair until May 2 where selected products are discounted up to 50% off. I’m thinking of buying him a new pair of shoes or a few apparels or if there’s not much great selections, we might just spend all these on his diapers. Wow, those are a lot. Now the husband’s asking if I can participate him too if there are such contests for grownups. He said, he’ll be spending the prize on men’s clothing to fill his closet. There goes the comical and jerky side of him again.
