New 7-Star Dubai Hotel.

While helping out my friend who is in search of HUD apartments for rent in the US, I was led to this article about a new hotel Dubai. We all know how Dubai is the haven of the best luxury hotels in the world including the infamous skyscraper Burj Al Arab in Jumeirah which is a 7-star hotel as claimed. Now, it is said that a new three hundred million dollar hotel (also a 7-star hotel) will rise up 300 m off the Dubai coast housing more than four hundred luxury suites. What’s even more interesting is that it will just be accessible by boat or helicopter. Truly exclusive, huh? I’ve seen a perspective of the hotel posted at yousaytoo.com and I must say that it truly is interesting and magnificent.

It’s my first time to browse yousaytoo.com and I’m impressed how it’s so informative with all of the fascinating blog articles that are submitted. It makes reading, browsing and learning a lot easier because it’s a one-stop resource already. It’s as if you’re bloghopping but on the same page. I’ve read that it’s also a revenue sharing site. I wonder how does that work. I’m into blog monetizing and I think this is worth a try.

Linkbuilding.

Aside from blogging and writing articles, I’ve got a new job (through Odesk) that’s been keeping me loaded with quite a handful task for two months now. “Linkbuilder” is what I just included to my title in my Odesk profile page. Since I’ve been blogging and monetizing my blogs through link posts and link ads, with confidence, I applied to the job and fortunately, I got accepted in this SEO type of work. The task is quite easy although it can be quite time consuming most of the time as I need to scour for sites where I can build the advertiser’s links on. It’s a good thing that I’ve established a circle of good sites and contacts but as the internet is so diverse and so with the world of SEOs, I am continuously on a hunt for good pages and sites to work with. So far, I’m enjoying this new task and the good pay that comes with it.

Since I’m bit by bit establishing myself in this type of work, I’m also looking at the possibility of trying out Social Media Marketing (SMM) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) in the future. I’m leaning towards SEM first since SEO is already a part of it. It’s just has a wider scope and it involves more diverse techniques in lead generation. For the mean time, I’ll keep myself abreast with how contextual advertising goes and the different advertising forms like cost per action (CPA), cost per click (CPP), cost per thousand (CPT) and all other advertising models from a digital agency. I know of one CPA ad network that I can study for now and hopefully in no time, I’ll also learn the ropes of SEM.

I hope this greeting isn’t too late.

As you’ve noticed, I have been missing in action because a lot of offline activities came my way before Christmas. The most overwhelming and devastating, I may add, is that my son got sick and was hospitalized for four days. He got a bad case of colds and cough that lead to asthma then it got worst to pneumonia. He got discharged just the other day. Just in time for our Christmas celebration at home. Nevertheless, we’re thankful for, first: he’s okay now and recuperating very well. Second, we’re grateful that we celebrated Christmas at home and not in the hospital and third, big thanks to affordable health insurance. The husband’s HMO took care of everything so we didn’t shell out that much. So that’s how our Holiday has been so far. I’ll blog more in the days to come about our festivities. How was yours?

As you know I author and maintain a number of blogs with different niches. And just like everybody else who monetize their blogs, I’m one of those bloggers who target that my blogs stay among the top search engine results and consequently, the search engines specifically Mr. Google, grant me a nice page rank score. Of course, the higher the page rank is, the better since it only means better positioning in the search engines. The Beginning of my Blogging World.

I never thought that blogging can be as engaging and lucrative as this. It was my cousin five years ago who first introduced me to the blogosphere and made mesmerized how fun and enjoyable maintaining an online diary can be. She encouraged me to try that time but I got so overwhelmed because I know nothing about web designing. We surely had programming and basic html coding subject in High School but we were using a jurassic software then. And just by looking at my cousin’s blog, I knew that there was no way that I can come up with such a lovely, inviting and interesting nook. In addition, I was skeptic about my writing skills and unsure if my entries would be even worth reading.

One year later, I got engaged. I joined a pinoy weddings e-group which is an online community of brides (and a few grooms) where we shared and compared notes of our wedding preparations, adventures and misadventures until the big day. That is when I finally started a wedding blog entitled Love. Happiness. Us. using free blogger platform where I chronicled our wedding memories. A few years later, I joined a pinoy digiscrapping group where I met most of my online turned in real life friends now. It is from there that I learned further about blogging and discovered that I can even earn from it. Thankful to these online friends because I became versed through them about the technical side of putting a hosted blog using a wordpress platform. It is also from them I heard about webhostingchoice.com which is free research guide in choosing the right web host for a website either for personal or business use. Their research made me wisely choose my web host services of which I completely trust and rely on until now.

Five years later, my cousin whom I first heard blogging from was surprised to know that I’ve taken blogging seriously and even became my bread and butter now that I’m a stay-at-home mom. Now she’s the one asking me to teach her how do I earn from authoring a number of blogs.

And I ~~spoke~~ blogged so soon.

As soon as I published my entry a few hours ago about momentum breakers and wishing that there wouldn’t be any more distractions happening any further, the power went off again. A transformer in power plant based in Rizal caught fire last night thereby affecting us, those in living in the eastern part of Metro Manila with this so called “rotational brownout”. They have to do this so they can fix the burnt power plant. By “rotational” means, the affected areas will be alternately experiencing 3-4 hours electric power shortage. The sadder part of this is that, it might persist until Monday.

Uh-oh, this can’t be.

I have lots of online tasks that I need to fulfill and one of them is that I need to scour for pictures on the web and research more about acura, bmw, jeep and lincoln mkt. My brother who’s in his senior year of a Business course is currently working on his Feasibility Study about car dealing business. Being a responsible and doting sister, I volunteered to help him since I underwent the same subject in college. I graduated with a degree in Business Administration, by the way, soo that makes me knowledgeable not really about his chosen topic but as to how to do a Feasibility Study and how to prepare for its Defense and presentation of the said study. Honestly and personally, I don’t find his chosen business case apt with the current financial crisis but knowing him, I know he’ll be able to defend it well.

Meanwhile, please excuse me as I need to get going before another power interruption takes place.
