Ever since, the husband has always been a sports enthusiast. Whenever we talk about sports, he always narrates the sports he played when he was a kid up to his teenage years. Even during our High School years, I recall that he’d always join the basketball and volleyball teams of our class. He also played chess with our classmates during our breaks. Up to now that we’re already grownups and parents, he’s still trying to get involved with sports like joining various basketball leagues and tournaments sponsored by their company. Now that we have a son, he always say that he wants him to grow up loving sports the way as he does. That’s why as early as now, he makes it a point to teach him once in a while the basic strokes of certain sports like basketball and baseball. Whenever the little one is interested, he also buys him kiddie sports toys like mini-basketball hoops and balls or kiddie baseball bats. There was also a time when he bought him several autographed sports memorabilia t-shirts. He has also mentioned how he’s been wanting to travel abroad some day to watch live NBA and MLB games and hopefully score autographed baseballs or autographed photos for him. He’s truly training our little kid to be a sports lover, huh?

Some people are still adamant whenever they are being offered an insurance plan. Some even intentionally and automatically shut off their doors whenever an agent approaches without even hearing them first. I admit, I was actually like that before. My thoughts were like: "I’m way too young to get an insurance. Besides, there are other urgent, more important expenses I need to prioritize. I can’t spare some earnings to finance these quarterly, semi-annual or yearly premiums."

Thanks to a very persistent who later became my insurance agent. I was made aware how important life insurance is and how they should be regarded. In a nutshell, I was made to understand that insurance is not a liability nor just a waste of money. A life insurance is an investment, benefits and fruits of which are reaped when the right time comes. With all these insurance plans, one can have a peace of mind, will always be armed and ready..whatever the future may bring.

One of the most nerve wracking things you can do is dating. The expectations; the disappointment; the excitement. It can be so stressful for so many. But finding that special someone doesn’t have to be stressful. It can be a totally pleasant experience if you let it. But that sort of pleasantness only comes from having the right kind of expectations from the beginning.

You have to allow yourself the ability to not be perfect. People often put up a front when they date. They come into it expecting that the people they are going out with will be perfect and that they come across perfect. The bottom line is that no one is perfect and no one can reasonably expect that out of someone else. People are flawed and that should never be help against them and especially not in the beginning of a relationship.

The other thing that you have to remember to do is to be honest. People want to play themselves up a bit but lying to someone for the sake of making yourself look better doesn’t make any good sense. When you are out with your date and they ask you a question, answer it honestly and truthfully. If you don’t make a lot of money, then say that. If this person is someone you really like then they will find out those things about you down the road and it could make for an awkward conversation at that time.

Being honest and bringing the right set of expectations into a date can make a pleasant experience for everyone. You want someone you can share your life with. Being dishonest is the wrong way to go about it.

But for those who keep away from imploring commercial products, here’s one proven home remedy to eradicate acne and acne scars using oatmeal: Cook a single serving of plain oatmeal as you would for eating. Add approximately 1/4 cup of honey and mix thoroughly. Allow to cool. Apply to face and leave for 10-20 minutes.

The porous property of oatmeal makes it effective in cleaning the pores by absorbing the oil and exfoliating the skin. Honey, on the other, serves as a skin toner and eases application.

I just decide to make something I’ve seen on the Food Network that day and print the recipe off of the website. I especially like Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee and Barefoot Contessa with Ina Garten. Sandra Lee comes up with the easiest, best tasting recipes I’ve ever used. I love looking for ’shortcuts’ when cooking, as I usually don’t have a lot of time in between work, my son, errand running and housekeeping. I have tried a few of Ina Garten’s recipes but her food is so beautiful and complicated looking, that I get intimidated every time I try to make something of hers. Racheal Ray has some fabulous recipes and Bobby Flay makes everything he does look easy. His beer can chicken is amazing, as well as his New England clam chowder. The best part of watching a cooking show, in my opinion, is that with direct tv hd, the food looks so mouthwatering that I get hungry and have to go cook! I suppose that’s what they want you to do and I love that I don’t even have to leave my couch to figure out what’s for dinner!

After 10 months of waiting, Little Mansion will soon officially open its doors for us and it will be our new home. A simple, yet cozy crib that we can finally call our own. The fruit of our labor and hard work. With all honesty, it hasn’t sunk in yet every time we visit and check it these past weekends. It’s as if it was just yesterday when we started focusing on this goal and drew our home plans. But now, it’s surely for real. We call this crib our Little Mansion. It’s not really a mansion with huge and luxurious interiors nor is a fancy manor. In fact, it’s just modest in size. But albeit small, we made sure to maximize the space so it’ll be somehow “huge” enough for our small family as a start-up. The house floor plan the developer presented us was just what we wanted. It’s close enough to be comparable to the homes plans that HousePlansandMore.com has on its site. This home plans and building resource is the leader in the industry and has been serving local builders in the US for more than 2 decades already. They employ highly skilled designers and architects to come up with a floor plan ready for purchase and build as is or it can also be used as an inspiration or starting point to one’s custom design. I have bookmarked the site as it will be a good resource for our household project plans in the future should we decide to renovate or expand it. But for now, we’ll just enjoy our Little Mansion as it is.

Ever since my youngest brother has learned to drive, he talks and thinks about nothing else but cars, car accessories and driving traffics. He suddenly has become a big auto junkie. The last time I’ve chanced upon him, he explained the latest trend on custom tail lights and his plan to upgrade the family car’s tail and head lights. I told him to secure Daddy’s consent first. Even though, he was technically granted the rights to use the car, I reminded him that it’s not his yet so he always has to ask permission first from our Dad. I wonder when we’ll have a discussion other than car related stuffs.
