The Importance of Having Water Filter Pitchers

For exactly 12 days our household endured a water supply shortage along with the other affected Quezon City barangays that are in concession of Maynilad Water Services. It was such an ordeal fetching and storing as much water as we could from my parents’ house in Makati then transporting them to our house in Batasan, I can’t believe that we actually managed as well as we did. It’s a blessing that the drinking water refilling station did not run out, otherwise we would have to worry about our drinking water supply. Something like this certainly makes you realize how valuable water is, and to appreciate it when you have a good supply. I am glad we did not have to rely on the water that was being brought in by truck to use during the rationing, as some of it looked a bit murky and I was also wondering about how safe it was for drinking. While friends said it had to be safe or it wouldn’t be provided, I still was not sure. Also I read that in the U.S. that while their tap drinking water maybe seen as legally acceptable, it still may not be healthy to drink. So I thought you just never know, and I did not feel at all confident that this murky water was safe water for my family to drink. Lately I have read about some really effective water filter pitchers that remove almost all of the contaminants in drinking water. Prettifying The Home Still

It’s been a month now since we moved in to Little Mansion. While I can say that we’ve generally settled and greatly adjusted already, there are some minor stuffs that still need installations. This includes the framed painting that were gifted to us, the gallery consisting of framed pictures that the husband is planning to setup in the second floor hallway, and the contemporary coffee tables we bought just recently. Sprucing up a new home is indeed a fun and exciting thing to do. However, it is more enjoyable if we have all the riches and means to buy all the elegant home stuffs that we adore.

The Housewarming Gift

My online Twitter Bebot friends are just the sweetest. As their housewarming gift after moving in to our dear Little Mansion last month, they sent my way a quite whopping amount of paypal money. I initially wanted to use it for buying a set of new cookware and other kitchen small appliances that we still don’t have like a blender and a turbo broiler but the husband and I agreed that we’ll spend it on a brand new TV for the bedroom. We still have the old flat TV that we purchased after our wedding but we left it at our former bedroom in my in laws’ place. It is BIL now who’s occupying the room and lovingly using the TV. Since we decided that we also want as much as possible to start fresh and anew, we decided to allot the housewarming money gift for a new, perhaps, just about 22” LCD TV for the bedroom. We’ll just add a little so we can afford the cheapest yet quality brand. We already saw a model that we like and we’re scheduled to buy it next month. Woot! I can’t wait.

Shower Tray Types for Your Bathroom

Transferred Some More Stuffs.

Whew! I saw this coming but I never thought it will be this hard. Last week marked the beginning of another overly busy period with work as my tasks deluged in. Then as the husband went on a five-day break from work last Thursday, my working hours have to be adjusted because we did last of errands offline relative to the big move to our newly acquired home soon.

Anyway, yesterday was monumental because we’ve transferred some more stuffs so with that, about 85% of our things are already there. The husband contacted a moving and storage company last Sunday to serve our needs. Except for the queen size bed frame and the fridge, all others were just medium sized boxes so a mini-truck was just hired. We’re not anyway into a long distance moving so the fee considering also the close proximity of Frisco to Batasan, was just fair and right.

We saw yesterday that a Maynilad crew has started the excavation on the road so it won’t be long until LM will have its water line. Woot! We’re scheduled to do the cleaning on Saturday and hopefully move in right after.

With that, I really have to maximize and manage my time at work well. I’ll be extremely busy in the days to come.

Prettified Common Driveway.

With our Little Mansion’s two window boxes on the second floor, it seems that there’s a need for me to learn how to do gardening a bit. I just love it actually because I’m a nature loving person and what a lovely sight it will be to see beautiful flowers greeting me on a nice sunny morning by the window. I’ll start my research soon about flowers that are easy to plant and take care of. Further, I need to check out nice accessories for the window plant boxes like corbels, deck rails and brackets.

I’m really excited to work on this one and see how ours will complement with the rest of the window flower boxes of our neighboring units. There are six units in the compound having similar architecture. For you to get a picture, here’s a photo taken from the common gate and the common driveway leading to our unit. Can you imagine how lovely will it be once we’ve fully dolled up the uniform plant boxes. It will definitely be marvelous, don’t you agree?
