Personally, I find Kate, who wore a royal blue Issa dress that all the more looked stunning with the sapphire-and-diamond engagement ring, really charming.  The ring was formerly Princess Diana’s and it’s just fitting that her firstborn prince’s future wife gets to wear it.

As for Prince William, I don’t know about you but he looked more dashing when he was younger than now. He used to look like his mother a lot (or am I just forgetting that he’s Prince Charles’ son, too?).  Or perhaps, I’m just not used to seeing him in his matured and grown up look.  I can’t picture him yet with a receding hairline, smoke cigars and all.  Wish he forever have his youthful, dashing looks. Nevertheless, I must say that Kate is one lucky lady.

I shouldn’t just focus on De Niro. Ben Stiller, aka Greg Focker, also played his role to a tee. While it’s a little ridiculous and unbelievable to have a male nurse named Greg Focker, that it adds a humorous element to the movie. When he visits his future in-laws, everything goes wrong. I have heard some people complain that the movie was just about everything going wrong and didn’t offer any true comedic writing. They might have a point to some degree, but it is very entertaining. And some of the one-liners are memorable. I wish I could mention one here, but it’s a bit on the ‘unclassy,’ side, so I will refrain from doing so.

An interesting added twist in this movie is that De Niro is a former CIA agent with a hidden spy room. It’s a room he had been using to spy on Stiller since his arrival. Stiller had been doing everything to impress De Niro up until this point. After the discovery, the tables are turned, but it works out for the better because he gains respect.

Meet The Parents is a fun movie, without a doubt.
