For quite some time, this blog used Blogger as the blogging and hosting platform in its humble beginnings. But as I saw how Wordpress is more promising, I decided to switch and have a host of my own to enjoy more features. Don’t get me wrong..of course, Blogger is great considering that it’s free and secured..meaning safe and is one hundred percent up all the time. It’s just that there are other features and plug-ins that I’d like to integrate into this blog of mine. I have my first main blog currently hosted by one of the leading webhosting companies where I use wordpress as my platform and I do enjoy all the plugins that I have in there. Although, one needs to be familiarized and have a bit of techie know how so you can maximize the features of wordpress.
I scouted for a cheap yet reliable webhosting company, at first, through recommendations from friends. But as I’m no expert when it comes to this, I decided to research and read further on the web and I luckily found Webhostinggeeks.com. It’s a resourceful guide where one can refer to for reliable webhosting reviews, guides, tips and other information in finding the best web host service. With comparative reviews, ratings and testimonials from other users, finding one that would suit your requirements becomes a no sweat task. In fact, I’m so happy to know that godaddy, which is this blog’s domain registrant, is at Top 10 and is regarded as the largest web hosting company. Cool! The Fast (and the Furious) Internet.

If my blog posts are seem to be flooding your reader now, it is because I’m in a blogging roll today aside from the fact that I’m striving to finish all of my pending online works so that I’ll be spending the lenten season more worthwhile. I need to take a break from my online life for a number of days. Further, we’ll be having our Easter family getaway on Monday up to Tuesday so I won’t be back (online, that is) not until Wednesday next week. So that gives me about a one week of work and stress-free vacation, huh? Great.

I’ve been working smoothly too because my internet connection is cooperating. Web pages are loading pretty fast and I haven’t experienced any intermittence at all. For a work at home mom like me whose means of earning is dependent online, a fast internet connection is a piece of heaven. But I wonder how more enjoyable my internet experience could even get if I’m subscribed to Time Warner High Speed Internet. I can’t even fathom how fast a 15 Mbps download rate of Time Warner Internet is. Probably, the file has been 100% downloaded even before you click the “download” button? Amazing. But seriously, the Time Warner Internet Service and its package inclusions are impressive. Their subscription rates are just one of the lowest I’ve seen among the internet service providers in the US. I wonder if we have a local isp who are at par with their service.

After several weeks of contemplation, I decided to transform this to a more specified theme. So there, it’s no more a hodge podge blog. Even though I am a penny pincher most of the time, I can’t deny that I love shopping..I believe, every one of us do. Expect a lot of brand and product features here from now on, the latest sales, recent fashion craze, and a lot more.

Where Art Thou?

So much for the laziness slowly creeping in. Must be the holiday bug already. Just exactly 8 days ’til Christmas and just 10 days before we go on our Baguio trip. Even though I still have a few pending online assignments to work on, I don’t feel like doing it anymore. I could blame the hectic pre-holidays preparations but no, we’re actually done shopping. We’ve also occasionally gone to a few Christmas get-togethers and parties. I’m also online for most hours of the day, too. So what am I doing if I’m online yet I I’m barely touching my online works? Facebook, Facebook’s Cafe World and Twitter. That’s it.

I think I’m down to the last day that I can stay online for as long and as relaxingly as I want. We will facilitate the processing of a loan requirement for M Project tomorrow, then Thursday we are bound to join the annual excursion/educational trip of my MIL’s pre-school not to a beach but we’ll have a picnic in Tagaytay. (We would love to hit the beach though such as that of daytona beach). We’ll spend our Friday at my folks’ place in Makati at the same time drop off my son’s nanny who’ll be going home with my Mom to the province for a one week vacation. My in laws are still finalizing our cemetery visit schedules on the weekend but definitely it’ll be any day from Saturday to Monday. Just the mere thought of these schedules is making me dizzy and tired already. Of course, I’ll still try to sneak in a few minutes online to check mails and work on possible assignments that I might have by that time. But for now, I’ll really strive to finish whatever pending works to prevent cramming and stress.

The Beginning of my Blogging World.

I never thought that blogging can be as engaging and lucrative as this. It was my cousin five years ago who first introduced me to the blogosphere and made mesmerized how fun and enjoyable maintaining an online diary can be. She encouraged me to try that time but I got so overwhelmed because I know nothing about web designing. We surely had programming and basic html coding subject in High School but we were using a jurassic software then. And just by looking at my cousin’s blog, I knew that there was no way that I can come up with such a lovely, inviting and interesting nook. In addition, I was skeptic about my writing skills and unsure if my entries would be even worth reading.

One year later, I got engaged. I joined a pinoy weddings e-group which is an online community of brides (and a few grooms) where we shared and compared notes of our wedding preparations, adventures and misadventures until the big day. That is when I finally started a wedding blog entitled Love. Happiness. Us. using free blogger platform where I chronicled our wedding memories. A few years later, I joined a pinoy digiscrapping group where I met most of my online turned in real life friends now. It is from there that I learned further about blogging and discovered that I can even earn from it. Thankful to these online friends because I became versed through them about the technical side of putting a hosted blog using a wordpress platform. And I ~~spoke~~ blogged so soon.

As soon as I published my entry a few hours ago about momentum breakers and wishing that there wouldn’t be any more distractions happening any further, the power went off again. A transformer in power plant based in Rizal caught fire last night thereby affecting us, those in living in the eastern part of Metro Manila with this so called “rotational brownout”. They have to do this so they can fix the burnt power plant. By “rotational” means, the affected areas will be alternately experiencing 3-4 hours electric power shortage. The sadder part of this is that, it might persist until Monday.

Uh-oh, this can’t be.

I have lots of online tasks that I need to fulfill and one of them is that I need to scour for pictures on the web and research more about acura, bmw, jeep and lincoln mkt. My brother who’s in his senior year of a Business course is currently working on his Feasibility Study about car dealing business. Being a responsible and doting sister, I volunteered to help him since I underwent the same subject in college. I graduated with a degree in Business Administration, by the way, soo that makes me knowledgeable not really about his chosen topic but as to how to do a Feasibility Study and how to prepare for its Defense and presentation of the said study. Honestly and personally, I don’t find his chosen business case apt with the current financial crisis but knowing him, I know he’ll be able to defend it well.

Meanwhile, please excuse me as I need to get going before another power interruption takes place.
