I don’t know what’s with animals that constantly fascinates my two year old son. Whether it be animated such as in cartoons, or the real ones in Animal Planet documentaries, he has his full attention on them. The animals on his picture books are likewise his must-read and must-see stuffs everyday. Too bad, we have to take away and hide in the closet all his animal stuffed toys because of his asthma. I bet his day won’t be complete without touching and snuggling them. We likewise can’t pet furry home animals like cats and dogs. That is why I just feed his fancy of animals by buying him lots of animal books and let him have his daily dose of 1 hour TV watching of the Animal Planet channel. To further satisfy his liking, maybe I can also hang or display animal cheap crystal figurines in our future home so he has something to feast his eyes on. I’ll just make sure that he won’t reach it because these might end up in pieces. Here are some of the lovely animal crystal figurines I saw at Quality Overstock, a retailer of designer and collectible figurines as well as designer watches.

Skin Myths Debunked

There are certainly lots of medical myths that no matter how strongly they’ve been debunked and proven wrong through scientific research, they just won’t die.

You might have heard the myth that touching frogs causes warts. There’s no truth about this because warts are caused by the papilloma virus.

Perhaps, the elders have warned you that to prevent spending so much on acne solutions, you must eat less chocolates because they cause acne. Skin care experts say that acne is not caused by any specific food, including oily and greasy foods and sweets. Actually, the acne causing factors are just: dead skin cells’ buildup within the pore, an excess of skin oil, and a proliferation of acne-causing bacteria. So there, this is definitely a good news to us, chocoholics.

Misha’s Oceanarium.

I can’t believe that I’m playing Pet Society (PS) again. I have withdrawn from my addiction towards this for several months now but the new fishing feature is just alluring. Take a look how I converted my first room into an oceanarium with all the fishes caught by my pet, Misha.

I placed three aquariums of different sizes to contain the collection. All sorts of fishes are out in the lake and those are just the ones I’ve got so far. I’m still longing to have the weird ones like the strawberry fish, donut fish, banana fish, etc. The act of fishing can be a great bore but the excitement of anticipating what you’ll get is what keeps me entertained. The type of fish your pet could get depends on the food and pet supplies you’ll throw in as a bait. So far, the unique and weird ones I’ve got are the ones put in the middle. The puppy fish was caught using a dog bone, lemonfish through a lemon and some more. Junks don’t spare my fishing hook too as I get a lot of them: soda cans, bottles, wheels and even a shoe. My baits are just wasted. I will resume my fishing addiction once I learn more coins to buy more food baits.

Paris Hilton’s $325,000 Dog House.

I wonder how it feels like to live in a mansion worth $325,000. If only Tinkerbell, Marilyn Monroe, Prince Baby Bear, Harajuku, Dolce, Prada and the other 10 Chihuahuas and a Pomeranian could talk, we could perhaps hear their first hand experiences from living in such and how is it like to be lucky pets of the famous and rich Paris Hilton.

This dog-size multi-level “crazy” house is nestled in her Beverly Hills home and is designed to resemble her palace. It is fully furnished with faux designer doggie products from Jimmy Chew, Pawda, Sniffany & Co. and Chewy Vuitton; has two floors consisting of a living room in the ground floor and a bedroom and a closet to keep the many outfits she has purchased for her small pets in the second floor. Just like Paris’ palace, the dog playpen is pinkified and complete with its clay-tile roof with copper gutters, intricate ceiling molding and a crystal chandelier hanging in the bedroom complete with central air conditioner.

A lot is reacting over Paris’ lavish spending on her pets. Even if it she’ll spend thousands of dollars for steel buildings to make her pets their own Empire State Building version, she could do and spend it for whatever she wants. They say that “it’s still a slap in the face to most Americans that her dog’s house costs more than their own houses” but hey, it’s her money, she’s rich and she can afford it. So lucky dogs, huh?
