Rolex is such a big name in the watch industry worldwide. Just by the mention of the brand already spells authority, style, fashion. It is a symbol of class and status. Rolex is known to be an innovator and the leader who first introduce cutting edge designs and technology in the world of watches. I’ve read that among Rolex’s firsts are: the first to introduce the waterproof feature, the first watch to include a date on the dial, and among the first to introduce the quartz technology in wristwatches.

My research about Rolex watches as a gift idea to my sister who’ll celebrate her birthday in a couple of months led me to discover that Rolex has the following styles or editions to boot which have been highly demanded by women passionate about watches over the years.

1.) The Datejust Special Edition is a waterproof, self-winding wristwatch that is available in both 18ct yellow gold and white gold. It has a Cyclops magnifier and a date calendar feature. A “cyclops magnifier” is a glass bubble that magnifies the tiny aperture over the date and does so at 2.5 times magnification. In simpler terms, it is used and vital for date magnification.

2.) DateJust Royal Black – comes with baguette sapphires or baguette diamonds in the bezel and is made from 18ct white gold.

3.) Perpetual Collection – available in steel or in steel and white gold. Other styles are the Lady-Date just, the Air-King, and the Day-Date.
