Whether I like it or not, summer always comes to an end. The perfect world would be a place where summer lasted forever, which would definitely bring a new meaning to Alice Cooper’s little summer anthem (School’s out for summer!)
I always welcome the ‘back to school’ season with ambivalent feelings. In one sense, going back to school means being just a little bit busier than usual. It is good because the more time I am in school, the closer I am to being done. In another sense, when I think about going back to school, I get excited, because that means I have a new excuse to buy new clothes and all of those other fun accessories.
Like all good students, I like to save money when and where I can. Especially with textbooks as ridiculously expensive as they are, sometimes I cut it close with my other personal expenses for school. Because this semester hit me especially hard with those new textbook expenses, I have had to resort to some creativity for saving money.
Fortunately, it is not too hard. I searched for Target promotional codes and found some great back-to-school deals online. I did not even have to go to the store to get my stuff! I saved money buying the pens, pencils, folders, and everything else I needed, and with the money I saved, I even bought a new pair of shoes. I just entered the promotional code at the checkout and it showed me my savings instantly (it is nice to see the fruits of one’s labor). It made me feel better for being a competent shopper, and I would definitely recommend this to any of my friends who are in a similar situation.
School is not cheap, and summer does not last forever, but with a little bit internet savvy searching, you can save a couple of bucks and learn to enjoy the back-to-school season.
