Last night, I learned from a late night tv special that young drug addicts no longer just resort to inhaling cough syrups or solvents. Now they even use seemingly harmless marker pens and styrofoams to satisfy their cravings for drugs. These items consist of a chemical, toluene, which has the typical harmful effects that any other drugs exhibit. The statistics of young drug users is really alarming and the government and their parents must take action fast before it’s too late. I really pity these young souls because they don’t know where they are leading their lives to. They don’t realize how they are putting their lives in danger and to waste.
But on a happier note, it’s never too late to save these awry youngsters. There are drug rehabilitation programs and various drug rehab centers that can help them save their lives. Life starts anew if they let others help them but more importantly if they help themselves.
