I have always believed that Fluoride, usually found in toothpastes and drinking water, is a good element. It does not cause any harm or its usage is something that we should not be bothered about. Not until I read a specific health article saying that it’s otherwise. Research and studies show that exposure to extreme amounts of fluoride in toothpastes causes dental fluorosis, a condition characterized by chalkish white lines or spots on the affected enamel lining of the teeth. In extreme cases, it causes yellow, brown or black discoloration and pitted teeth surfaces. Meanwhile, one study showed that people drinking fluoridated water experienced varied health problems like gastrointestinal disorders, mouth sores, rashes, headaches, arthritis and even more serious concerns such as cancers and neurological complaints. Now if you are a homemaker like me, I’m sure this is a big issue that will ignite your concern. It’s great that there are Fluoride Water Filters that can be used in our drinking water system at home.
