Wind Chimes and Feng Shui

As I blog at this moment, the ongoing discussion once again among my Twittermates are about Chinese talismans and amulets that are believed to bring good luck, fortune and protection. This fascination started a few weeks back in time of the Chinese New Year celebration. Now, everyone seems so interested about Feng Shui and owning these amulets to bring them good vibes this year. In my case, since we’re having our house built, I’m more inclined on researching about Feng Shui for the house like about placing of wind chimes in strategic locations of the house.

I’ve read that Feng Shui experts say that chimes can enhance the flow of “chi” or energy in a certain area. We don’t want any negative vibes lurking in any area of our house, do we? There are various Feng Shui tools and practices on eradicating such negativity but hanging chimes like aluminum wind chimes are among the cheapest and easiest way to go. I’ve read that, depending on what you want to achieve, there are certain locations where a chime should be hung. Like let’s say you wish for a family addition, hanging a wind chime in the west part of the house activates the chi area in that spot and adds chances of having a child.

I also noted that Feng Shui and enhancing the flow of energy also has to do with the sound of chimes. There are certain effects that would need the soft and calming sound coming from bamboo wind chimes.

I’ve already scoured for wind chimes over the web and it is at Outdora that I found the best collection of high-quality wind chimes. Their collection exhibits nothing but sheer timeless appeal whether it be their bamboo and shell chimes, aluminum, copper, crystals and a lot more. If you wish to know more about wind chimes, its “anatomy” and history, Outdora is a great resource.
