As the Holiday season nears, it is expected that the crime rate will once again shoot up. According to the recent news I’ve watched, the crime rate has dramatically increased compared to this month of last year. While poverty is the primary cause and reason why people resort to rob, steal or kill, it’s also evident that drug addiction is a major prime mover for one to commit such a crime. It’s no doubt that the world has been battling with this problem finding solutions to make these troubled people to undergo Drug Treatment and just totally quit. The government struggles in fighting this problem however, their efforts on Drug rehabilitation are just not enough. Foremost, if they want to totally curtail this problem, they should indiscriminately implement the laws and programs about “jailing the pusher” and “saving the user”. By saving the user, they should put up more rehabilitation centers perhaps, a Residential drug rehab in every community so the treatment procedure will be focused, ratio wise. More importantly, the government should excuse no one in “jailing the pusher”, even though how high a certain protector’s rank is in the government office.
