I never thought that blogging can be as engaging and lucrative as this. It was my cousin five years ago who first introduced me to the blogosphere and made mesmerized how fun and enjoyable maintaining an online diary can be. She encouraged me to try that time but I got so overwhelmed because I know nothing about web designing. We surely had programming and basic html coding subject in High School but we were using a jurassic software then. And just by looking at my cousin’s blog, I knew that there was no way that I can come up with such a lovely, inviting and interesting nook. In addition, I was skeptic about my writing skills and unsure if my entries would be even worth reading.
One year later, I got engaged. I joined a pinoy weddings e-group which is an online community of brides (and a few grooms) where we shared and compared notes of our wedding preparations, adventures and misadventures until the big day. That is when I finally started a wedding blog entitled Love. Happiness. Us. using free blogger platform where I chronicled our wedding memories. A few years later, I joined a pinoy digiscrapping group where I met most of my online turned in real life friends now. It is from there that I learned further about blogging and discovered that I can even earn from it. Thankful to these online friends because I became versed through them about the technical side of putting a hosted blog using a wordpress platform. Five years later, my cousin whom I first heard blogging from was surprised to know that I’ve taken blogging seriously and even became my bread and butter now that I’m a stay-at-home mom. Now she’s the one asking me to teach her how do I earn from authoring a number of blogs.
