What’s Your Favorite MJ music?

Like the rest of the world, I was totally shocked when hubby blurted out the news on Sunday early morning our time. I just woke up and initially, I just said “weehhh?” in doubt thinking that it could just be a hoax news that he got. I logged on to my twitter and FB accounts and lo and behold, the news was confirmed. I wasn’t able to watch his memorial service live yesterday but just like everyone else, I was teary eyed and my skin hair rose to its ends while watching the excerpts on the news. And Paris’ remarks was short yet heart touching and breaking…because she shared her thoughts about Michael from a different perspective. Not as a fan like us, instead, she talked as a daughter and shared how great Michael was as a father….“Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. And I just wanted to say I love him so much.”

Instead of tackling the controversial issues like the real cause of his death and autopsy results, Michael’s dad getting no heir share, the ongoing discussion about his kids’ custody, etc. I’d rather blog about my favorite Michael’s pop and ballad music that touched my heart..irreplaceable and unmatchable songs that will forever be imprinted in the world of music.

1. Heal The World – the world national anthem for peace. It gives me the goosebumps whenever I see children of all races singing this in unison, hand in hand.
“Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race”

2. She’s Out of My Life – a very sad and moving song about breakups.
“She’s out of my life
And I don’t know whether to laugh or cry
I don’t know whether to live or die
And it cuts like a knife
She’s out of my life”

3. Man In The Mirror – a song about change
“I’m gonna make a change,
For once in my life
It’s gonna feel real good,
Gonna make a difference
Gonna make it right . . . “

4. I’ll Be There – a song about love or friendship.
“You and I must make a pact
We must bring salvation back
Where there is love
I’ll be there”

5. Gone Too Soon – A song tribute for a fallen loved one or friend. Michael gives tribute to his friend Ryan White (a kid who died of AIDS) and the plight of those with AIDS through this song.
“Like a comet
Blazing across the evening sky
Gone too soon
Like a rainbow
Fading in the twinkling of an eye
Gone too soon”

6. Will You Be There – from the sound track of one of my all time favorite movies, Free Willy.
“Everyone’s taking control of me
Seems that the world’s
Got a role for me
I’m so confused
Will you show to me
You’ll be there for me
And care enough to bear me”

7. You Are Not Alone – a song tribute to lost loved ones who have passed away.
“Another day has gone
I’m still all alone
How could this be
You’re not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why”

You’re gone too soon, King of Pop…RIP.
